Cedar Park Elementary School teacher Kelli Ellickson was nominated for 2011 Minnesota Teacher of the Year, according to a news release from Education Minnesota.

Ellickson teaches third grade at the science, technology, engineering and math magnet school, and is one of 108 teachers statewide to be nominated for this year's award. She's the only nominee from the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district, according to the release.

The winner will be announced May 1. Here's a link to the list of other nominees from around the state.
