Get trained to help your community during a crisis. On June 8 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Dakota County residents are invited to attend an orientation meeting for the Medical Reserve Corps program. The program will be held in Apple Valley.

Pre-registration is required. To register send an email to
MRC@co.dakota.mn.us by May 27. A light dinner will be provided.

Medical Reserve Corps volunteers include doctors, nurses and others with healthcare credentials.   However, volunteers with a variety of skills are also needed to help with computer entry, childcare, assisting clients or other tasks.

The Medical Reserve Corps was created after Sept.11, 2001 to train people to help during a time of crisis. Volunteers supplement local public health staff during emergencies.
