Man Charged After Allegedly Calling in Bomb Threat to Workplace

Several others were charged last week in alleged crimes related to Rosemount.

Man Charged After Allegedly Calling in Bomb Threat to Workplace

Cordarryl Rayshun Gooden, 24, of Hastings, is charged with making terroristic threats—a felony—after he allegedly paid to have a bomb threat called in to his workplace.

According to the criminal complaint, on Dec. 15, Rosemount police were called to a business that reported receiving a bomb threat phone call. The person who had called allegedly call back to say he had been paid $50 to make the call, the complaint says.

Through investigations of phone call records, social networking pages and related contact information, as well as verification of driver's license records and addresses, police found the number used to call in the threat was at the residence of Gooden, who was an employee at the store that received the threat.

In February, an officer called the number and asked for Gooden; the person who answered said he was Gooden, according to the complaint. The officer said he was investigating bomb threats made at the business, and Gooden said he might have been working there at the time.

The Minnesota Bureau of Investigation determined based on cell phone tower records that the calls to the business were made from near the business, the complaint says.

Man Charged With DWI Had Warrant Out for Narcotics Offense

Joshua Charles Allison, 23, of Farmington, is charged with two counts of gross misdemeanor third-degree driving while impaired and one count of misdemeanor driving after revocation after police say he registered a blood-alcohol content of .19 at the time he was driving through Rosemount.

According to the criminal complaint, a Rosemount police officer clocked a vehicle—the driver of which was later identified as Allison—at 44 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone, and saw the vehicle driving on the shoulder and almost hit a guard rail.

Allison allegedly told the officer at the traffic stop that he had four or five drinks, and failed sobriety and breath tests. Allison had DWI conviction from 2010, and also had a warrant out for his arrest for a felony narcotics-related offense.

He agreed to take a breath test, which registered at .19 blood-alcohol content, the complaint says.

According to the criminal complaint, Dakota County Drug Task Force agents executed a search warrant on Currier's residence on June 7, and allegedly found more than 266 grams of marijuana in various bags in the residence.

Currier allegedly told police all the marijuana was his.

Employee Allegedly Steals Money From Gas Station to Start New Life

Miquell David Deppa, 33, of Bemidji, is charged with felony theft after police say he allegedly stole about $1,700 from the Rosemount gas station where he worked.

According to the criminal complaint, the gas station manager found about $1,700 missing from the store cash register and safe the morning of Nov. 11. Security video from the previous night allegedly shows Deppa, the sole employee responsible for closing the store the night before, "taking steps" to steal money from the store.

Deppa, whom police found staying in the woods behind a relative's Bemidji home, allegedly told police he took the money because he was having a difficult time financially and hoped he could use the money to "start over." He said he bought a tent, warm clothes and other supplies to stay in the woods.

2 Men Allegedly Make Thousands in Purchases With Credit Cards Stolen From Cars

Frederick Gaspar Kileo, 20, of Rosemount, and Palagor Obang Jobi, 21, of Savage, each are charged with one felony count of financial card transaction fraud after police say they stole credit cards and other items from a car, then used the cards to make $3,000 in purchases.

According to the criminal complaints, Rosemount police responded to a report of a burglary in Rosemount, in which residents said an iPad, wallet and credit cards were taken from cars in their garage.

Investigators determined purchases of iPads, headphones and more totaling $3,000 had been made with the cars at stores in Burnsville, Savage and Shakopee. Video surveillance footage showed three people making purchases with the cards, and investigators identified two as Kileo and Jobi, the complaint says.

Police searched their residences and found the clothes they had been wearing in some of the video footage, the complaint says. Kileo gave a statement that allegedly admitted to his involvement.
