Q&A: Rosemount High School Boys Basketball Coach Bryan Schnettler

Rosemount High School boys varsity basketball head coach Bryan Schnettler talks about his team.

Coming off of a 14-12-0 overall standing in the 2009-2010 season, this Rosemount High School team seems to have a togetherness and genuinely care about not only the game, but about each other. Hey, good sportsmanship starts OFF the court...

Bryan Schnettler, the boys varsity head coach, recently spoke to Rosemount Patch about this year's team:

Rosemount Patch: What are your hopes and aspirations for this year's team?

Schnettler:  I love being around this group everyday.  They are a good group of guys and willing to listen and work hard.  We have yet to have our full team for one practice because of injuries and off the court issues, but once we get our full squad back we feel we can compete for a section championship.

Rosemount Patch:  What do you feel  are  the team's strong suits?

Schnettler: We have some good size and some good shooters, but our biggest strength is our chemistry.

Rosemount Patch:  Where can the team improve?

Schnettler: We need to get better at finishing around the rim and being tough with the ball.

Rosemount Patch:  What is your favorite part of the coaching experience at RHS?

Schnettler: My favorite part of coaching at RHS is getting to be around this group everyday.  I enjoy the energy and hard work that they bring daily.  Being able to teach these young men lessons that will last them a lifetime and give them memories that they will never forget are why I coach.

Rosemount Patch: If you could say one thing to your team that could really change their outlook on basketball or life in general, what would you tell them?

Schnettler: Dare to be Great!  (grinning) They get sick of me saying this already.

Rosemount Patch: What would you like the fans to know about supporting the team? (good fan attitude, support your favorite player, attending games, etc....)

Schnettler: We have a good group of guys that you can feel good about cheering for!

The next few games for Rosemount Boys Varsity are:
