What's Open, What's Closed on Labor Day in Apple Valley
See which establishments you will and won't be able to visit on Monday.
If you need to take care of business at any Apple Valley establishments, check to see whether they'll be open to your business on Labor Day on Monday.
What's Closed
- the Apple Valley Municipal Center and Central Maintenance Facility offices
- Apple Valley's Galaxie Library, and all other Dakota County libraries
- Apple Valley's three municipal liquor stores
- the United States Postal Service branch in Apple Valley, as well as all others; there is no mail delivery on Labor Day.
- Wells Fargo banks will be closed; U.S. Bank branches will be closed
- Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan public schools will be closed, and begin the 2011-12 school year on Tuesday
What's Open
- Major retailers and grocery stores, including Cub Foods, Walgreens, Rainbow Foods, both Apple Valley Target stores, Walmart, Menards and Home Depot. Check with other independent local retailers about Labor Day hours.
- TCF Bank branches will close at 3 p.m., but the branches inside Cub Foods stores will close at 6 p.m.
- Minnesota Valley Transit Authority bus service will operate on its Sunday schedule. Check the MVTA website to search schedules.
