Apple Valley Man Fixes Bikes to Raise Money for Children's Organization

Rick Anderson takes in donated bicycles and fixes them up to sell, raising money for Apple Valley's Kids 'n Kinship organization, according to a WCCO story.

In addition to the annual Christian Elder Memorial 900 bike ride that raises thousands of dollars each year for the Apple Valley organization (check out ), another bicycle-related fundraiser was in progress for the organization this past weekend.

Rick Anderson each year fixes bicycles to raise money for the organization, which matches adult mentors with kids in need of a supportive relationship, according to a story from WCCO television news.

The video story shows how Anderson receives donated bicycles and fixes them up to sell in support of Kids 'n Kinship, with which he's a mentor. Anderson said he hoped to raise $6,000 for the organization—the total from last year's sale, according to the WCCO story.
