Five Things You Need To Know Today In Rosemount: Feb. 14

Welcome to our daily round-up of what you need to know about Rosemount for Monday, Feb 14:

1) There's going to be lots of talk about potential budget cuts at tonight's District 196 school board meeting. The meeting begins at 6:00pm at Dakota Ridge School at 4629 144th St. W., Apple Valley. The public is invited. Rosemount Patch will be there and will have complete coverage of the meeting posted late Monday evening.

2) is presenting a talk by Rosemount resident Cary Griffith, a Minnesota Book Award winner and author of Lost in the Wild and Opening Goliath. Co-sponsored by the Rosemount Area Arts Council, the talk begins at 6:30pm at Robert Trail Library.

3) It's the last day to register for several great classes being presented at the Rosemount Community Center. The classes include Life as an American Girl Art Camp, Boys Only Art Camp, Star Wars - More Art From the Galaxy and Beyond and Science Explorers’ Journey to the Stars. 5) Speaking of Valentine's Day, the Horticulture Club is hosting a flowering bulb plan sale from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Small pots will be $4 and large ones $6. You can find the sale at the Central Commons near the Fresh Stop Cafe.
