Highway 3 to be Closed Starting Today, Aug. 2

Highway 3 will be closed to all traffic from 142nd Street West to 140th Circle.

Rosemount's main road will be cut off this weekend as city crews complete a new pedestrian underpass.

Beginning this Friday at 7 p.m. Highway 3 will be closed to all traffic from 142nd Street West to 140th Circle. Construction will run 24 hours a day until Monday at 5 a.m. when the road is scheduled to reopen. Drivers will have to follow a detour along County Road 42, Pilot Knob Road, and McAndrews Road.

• On Friday, Aug. 2, kids in Apple Valley can learn how to use the art of wet felting to create colorful "dread-locks." The workshop begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Galaxie Library. Registration required

• Kids aged five to 10 are invited to Waggin' Tails, a celebration of man's best friend and  the power of the written word. The event will take place at  Rosemount's Robert Trail Library on Saturday, Aug. 03, at 10:30 a.m. Kids will be able to read their favorite books to certified therapy dogs.
