Leprechaun Days Draws Near

Leprechaun Days 2011 runs from July 22-30.

It's almost that time of year again, Rosemount -- time to put on your dancing shoes and loosen your belt in anticipation of Leprechaun Days 2011.

This year's celebration begins on Friday, July 22, and runs through Saturday, July 30, in what promises to be a fabulous week of fun, food and music.

This 10-day celebration dates back to the 1950s when it began as a two-day event known as Crazy Days.

According to Laura Briggs, Leprechaun Days Committee president, some of the most popular events include the Bluegrass Festival on opening weekend, the Cub Family Fun Fest, bathtub races and the Mid-Summer Faire. Briggs estimated that upward of 15,000 people attend the music concerts held on the final weekend.

All events are free, and the full schedule may be found on the Leprechaun Days website.
