Rosemount Churches Schedule Easter Events

Churches in Rosemount and neighboring cities are planning special services for Easter weekend, beginning with Maundy Thursday services tonight.

Here is a partial schedule:

First Baptist Church: The church will have its normal service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, with special Easter music planned. First-time visitors will receive gift baskets.

St. Joseph Catholic Church: A Maundy Thursday service begins at 7 p.m. The Good Friday schedule includes Stations of the Cross at noon and a Good Friday service at 3 p.m. An Easter vigil mass will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday. Easter Sunday’s schedule includes a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., followed by mass at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.

Saints Martha and Mary Episcopal Church: A Maundy Thursday service begins at 7 p.m, and a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. An Easter vigil service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, followed by a feast. The church’s Easter service begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday; after the service, the church will host an Easter egg hunt for children in kindergarten through second grade and a clue hunt for children in third through fifth grades.

Lutheran Church of Our Savior: The church has scheduled a Good Friday service for 7 p.m. Sunday services are at 9 and 10:30 a.m., with an Easter breakfast between the two.

Rosemount United Methodist Church: A Maundy Thursday service will begin at 7 p.m., with Good Friday services at noon and 7 p.m. On Easter Sunday, the church has scheduled a traditional service at 8 a.m., a traditional and “family friendly” service at 9 a.m. and a traditional and contemporary service at 10:30 a.m.

Community of Hope Lutheran Church: The church will have a Good Friday service beginning at 7 p.m., and three services on Easter Sunday, at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m.

Lighthouse Christian Church: Good Friday services begin at 7 p.m., and the Easter Sunday service at 10 a.m. That service will be followed by bagels and coffee.

Valley Christian Church: The church will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m., with Easter Sunday services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
