It's Cold—and Getting Colder

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for counties throughout the Twin Cities, including Dakota.

It seems winter (and cold temperatures) has finally hit Rosemount and the rest of the Twin Cities. 

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for many counties throughout Minnesota, including Dakota County, Wednesday going into Thursday. 

Rosemount should expect to see scattered snow showers after 3 p.m., with a high near 20 degrees. Southwest wind will reach between 11 and 13 mph, the National Weather Service said.

However, tonight the low is expected to be -7 degrees, with a wind chill of between -17 and -27 degrees. The wind may reach gusts of up to 28 mph. 

On Thursday, it should be sunny and cold with a high (yes, high) of 3 degrees, with wind chill values of between -17 and -27 degrees again, according to the National Weather Service.

It appears Thursday night will be slightly warmer than Wednesday night with a 20 percent chance of snow after midnight. The low should be around -2 degrees with wind chill values between -8 and -13.
