Chick-Fil-A to Offer Apple Valley a Taste of What's to Come

An event is being held at Johnny Cake Ridge Park Aug. 13.

With Chick-Fil-A on the way to Apple Valley, the company is giving residents a sneak peak, and taste, during an event Tuesday, Aug. 13.

According to the fast-food chain's website, a community event is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug 13 at Johnny Cake Ridge Park. The event features tastings of the restaurant's Signature Chicken Sandwich, as well as games and hot air balloon rides.

Similar events are happening next week in Maple Grove, Coon Rapids and Bloomington, according to the website.

The Apple Valley City Council gave the business a green light on Feb. 28, 2013 when it approved a conditional use permit and site plan for the new, 4,559-square-foot restaurant adjacent to the Cub Foods along Cedar Avenue and 153rd Street.
