Get Free Pancakes at IHOP on Tuesday for National Pancake Day

IHOP has celebrated National Pancake Day since 2006, when it gives customers free pancakes but also asks them to donate money for charity.

Yes, we're already past the traditional breakfast hour. But who doesn't love breakfast for lunch, or my favorite, breakfast for dinner? And, for free?

Head to the Apple Valley or any other IHOP across the country on Tuesday for a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes, in celebration of National Pancake Day.

But there's a little more to it than that. IHOP's free-pancake promotion is actually an effort to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

The pancake chain's goal for Feb. 28 is for customers to donate $2.7 million to the organization. Since it began recognizing National Pancake Day with free pancakes in 2006, IHOP has raised $8 million for various charities, according to its website.
