Median Home Sales Price in Rosemount Beats Last July's $215K

The median sales price of homes sold in Rosemount in July was $222,000.

The median home sales price in continued to grow in July.

Though the increase wasn't quite at the levels of the past handful of months, a 3-percent increase in July brought the median sale price to $222,000; July was also good to sellers in 2011, though, with a $215,000 median sales price reported during the month last year.

The median sales price of homes in the Twin Cities for July 2012 was up 14.3 percent to $179,950, according to the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors.

Last month, Rosemount saw a greater gain compared to June 2011, with an 8.4-percent increase. In May, a 15.8 percent increase to a median $181,000; in April, the median sales price was $164,950, about 11 percent more than in April 2011.

New listings were up more than 26 percent, and closed sales were up nearly 21 percent. The 113-home inventory is well below July 2011, when there were 166 homes on the market.
