Rosemount Native Takes Pilates Business to Edina's Centennial Lakes

Devon Ericksen, a Rosemount native and New York entrepreneur, is opening a pilates studio this fall in Edina's Centennial Lake Plaza.

Centennial Lakes Plaza is about to get a new pilates studio.

The Edina Pilates Pro Works, a Pilates and Barre exercise studio with nine branches worldwide, will be the company's first location in the Twin Cities.

Devon Ericksen, a Rosemount native who moved to New York to focus on modeling, is opening the studio this fall on Centennial Lakes' lower level, next to Lakeside Tan.

"I became obsessed with the classes offed at Pilates ProWorks NYC and wanted to bring a studio to Minnesota," Ericksen wrote in an email. "Centennial Lakes seemed like the perfect fit."

The business centers around two classes: a 55-minute core workout featuring lunges and shoulder presses and a "Cardio-Sculpt" class mixing pilates with more vigorous exercise.

Pregnancy and ballet classes will also be offered.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
