Got Creativity?

I'll provide fresh, creative ideas for simple projects that can be adapted to each person's own style of expression.

When I share with people that I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, quite often their response goes something like this, "Oh, I could never be creative like you are!"  It makes me a bit sad when I hear this because it is my belief that EVERYONE has the seeds of creativity inside them, waiting to be watered and brought to life, nurtured to grow and blossom.

Following this line of thinking, what is really being said is, "I'm not sure how to find and nurture the creativity inside me. I don't know where to begin this creative journey."

That's where I come into the picture. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I think of myself as a creative coach, providing inspiration and ideas. My ultimate goal is to inspire those around me to see creativity in everyday life and use this vision to begin (or continue) their own personal journey of creative expression.

My goal for this blog is presenting fresh, creative, inspiring ideas that will help guide this creative journey. I hope to share quick, easy and simple projects that can be adapted to each person's own style of expression.

In the Stampin' Up! world there's a acronym: CASE. These letters stand for Copy And Share Everything. Here's how it works. Another demonstrator may create and share a card. It might include a color combination, new idea or other element that inspires me to create a card of my own design, which I in turn share hoping it may inspire someone else. That's the world of creativity and it's all around us!

Not everyone's creativity will express itself exactly the same, and that's as it should be. "Cookie cutter creativity," where each project turns out exactly the same, really isn't creativity at all, it's simply copying. But, that being said, we can use others' creativity as a pattern and springboard to build on. Our results may be similar, but will not be exactly the same because each person expresses themself in different ways.

A tiny spark can ignite a large fire. It doesn't take much. It's the same with creativity: A small spark can fan the flames. I hope that you will journey down this road with me and feel free to discover your inner creativity as we travel together.

I want to hear your feedback on my projects, so feel free to leave comments. Also if there are questions, I will answer them, so leave them as well. If an idea I share inspires you, I'd love for you to share your project with me. Let's make this blog a place where the creativity and ideas flow freely.
