Apple Valley Woman, 'Life of the Party' Dies at 79

Genevieve Rose Willsher, of Apple Valley, passed peacefully away at her home in Apple valley on July 5, 2013 at the age of 79.

Willsher, who split her time between Apple Valley and a residence in Florida, is described as a vivacious person by her loved ones. 

"We'll remember Gen as the life of the party, doing her part to make every day a special occasion," the family writes.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Rose Moorehead; siblings, Shirley (Carl) Casebolt and William Moorehead; brothers-in-law, Clyde McIlrath, Dean Huff and Dick Diekhuis.

Willsher is survived by her loving husband, Ron; children, Ronda Willsher (Dave Gardner), Jay Willsher (Sue) and Molly Wellik (Pat); grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, Tarah, Margo, Aaron, Whitney and Reece; siblings, Rita Mae Diekhuis, Helen Huff and Beth Ann McIlrath; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the White Funeral Home Chapel in Apple Valley, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to service. Memorials are preferred to Eastview Community Foundation (EVCF) for the Brain Power in a Backpack program.
