Heat Advisory Issued for Apple Valley, Greater Minnesota

The heat index could reach 105 degree Fahrenheit.

A heat advisory is in effect for Apple Valley from noon Monday until 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Actual temperatures slated to reach the low 90s, and combined with humidity, the heat index could reach 105 degrees Fahrenheit on Monday afternoon and evening, according to the NWS.

Much of central and south-central Minnesota, and western Wisconsin, also are in the advisory area.

The heat and humidity for people; the NWS advises to reduce strenuous outdoor activity if possible, wear lightweight clothing and drink lots of water. If you have to be outside, take frequent breaks in a shaded or indoor air-conditioned place.
