POLL: Where Do You Think a New Vikings Stadium Should Be Built?

The Vikings stadium debate is expected to receive a lot of notice during this year's session of the Minnesota Legislature.

With this year’s session of the Minnesota Legislature kicking off this week, the Minnesota Vikings stadium debate is expected to get a lot of notice.

The Vikings are seeking a new stadium to replace the Metrodome, their home since 1982.

At it stands right now, three sites are being considered for the billion-dollar sports complex: Arden Hills, Linden Avenue in Minneapolis near the Basilica of St. Mary, and the current Metrodome site.

That said, no stadium funding plan has been approved. Proceeds from gambling—whether it be electronic poll tabs, slot machines at horse-racing tracks or some other form of gaming—has been suggested as a way to pay for a potential state contribution toward construction costs.
