Severe T-Storm Warning Expired for Dakota County

The National Weather Service issued the warning for several areas in the Twin Cities metro area earlier Tuesday, which has now expired.

The thunderstorm warning issued earlier Tuesday by the National Weather Service for Dakota County has expired.

The NWS previously had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Apple Valley and the rest of Dakota County until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The storm was capable of producing quarter-inch hail and winds up to 65 miles per hour, according to the NWS; it continued to move in a southeastern direction. The warning also was issued for southeastern Hennepin, southern Ramsey and southwestern Washington counties.
