For millions of Americans, Dick Clark famously touched their lives while growing up through one of his many entertainment shows and ventures. American Bandstand was a staple in its day and introduced America to artists as diverse as Buddy Holly and Madonna.
The legend died of a heart attack today in California at the age of 82.
