Bowler's Blog: September's Top Scores at Apple Place Bowl

The first month's top league bowling scores from Apple Place Bowl.

League bowling is back in session at here in Apple Valley and it has been great to see all the avid bowler's back in session during the first month of leagues.

It's been a great start and we have seen some great scores to say the least.

Leading off the first night of bowling during the Thursday South Metro Classic league was Trista Kimmes with a huge night to start the season. She had a 300 game and a 698 three game series and really hasn't slowed down during the month, with a solid 225 average.

Deb Zalesky has the second highest game from the ladies with a 235 to go along with a 592 series during the Saturday night Leftover's league. Heather Kimmes subbed for her sister during the classic league and put together a nice 232 game, and Ida Johnson put together the top series during the Wednesday night Applettes league with a big 577 series.

Tina Brault owns the high game for the ladies in the Monday night Apple Open mixed league when she had a 232 game.

During the Apple Open mixed league, the top series of the first month was bowled when Justin Adams opened up his season with a huge 815 series, including a 299 game during game two.

But, he doesn't own the top spot for high game as Steve Davis Sr. takes the cake with a 300 game to go along with his 774 series.

Other 300 games include Roy Meyer during the Friday night Sundowners, and Rick Nelson of the Thursday South Metro Classic. Other top scores from the guys include Steve Franke with 772 during the Tuesday 4:45 trio league, Danny Petersen's 772 during the South Metro Classic, Tony Kamarainen and Leif Carlson each with 761 also in the South Metro Classic.

We can't forget about the kids as Junior league's have gotten underway as well. 's own Tim Belrose opened up with a huge 745 series and a 277 game.

Tim's teammate on the AVHS team, Molly Novak, has also been off to a good start posting a 228 game and a 640 series. Older brother and University of Minnesota bowler Ryan Novak has been off to the best start of all bowlers, adult or junior, with scores of 737, 771, and 702 and is holding a 245 average!

Another notable score came from Jake "The Noodle" Bruski during beat the coach, as the coach put up a solid 299 game against the kids.
