Alleged Drug Crimes Involving Heroin, Cocaine, Pills Yield Charges for Local Residents

Apple Valley police reported incidents for which multiple people now face felony drug charges in Dakota County.

Alleged Heroin Use Causes 'Freak Out' at Apple Valley Hotel

Brittany Ann Brophy, 22, of Apple Valley, and Jason Leonard Lage, 26, of Eagan, each are charged in Dakota County with a felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime and petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, after say they found heroin and paraphernalia in an Apple Valley hotel room where the couple was staying.

According to a criminal complaint, police were called to the hotel for a medical situation and found Brophy and Lage in a hotel room. Lage told police Brophy, his girlfriend, had done heroin and was "freaking out," and tried to jump to the floor below, the complaint says.

Brophy and Lage both allegedly admitted to using heroin. Officers allegedly found syringes and spoons with residue, which both tested positive for heroin, the complaint says.

Police Allegedly Find Cocaine in Apple Valley Man's Home

Fabian M. St. Germaine, 19, of Apple Valley, is charged with a felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime and petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, after Dakota County Drug Task Force agents executed a warrant on his home and allegedly found straws with cocaine residue on them.

During the search, agents allegedly found straws with residue, a plate with white powder residue, a pipe with residue, marijuana paraphernalia and a baggy containing a green leafy substance, according to the criminal complaint.

St. Germaine allegedly told police all the items belonged to him and that he either ingests or snorts prescription pills, the complaint says.

Rosemount Man Allegedly Charged for Possession of Quarter-Pound of Marijuana

Jeremy Alan Paulsen, 35, of Rosemount, is charged with a felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime and petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, after Dakota County Drug Task Force agents executed a search warrant on his home and allegedly found more than 112 grams, or about a quarter pound, of marijuana, as well as paraphernalia, according to the criminal complaint.

High School Student Allegedly Found With Adderall

Nicholas Patrick Cates, 18, of Apple Valley, is charged with a felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime after Apple Valley police allegedly found Cates had five Adderall pills without a prescription at a high school in Apple Valley, according to a criminal complaint. The complaint says Cates told police he had bought them from a friend.

Woman Allegedly Forges Prescriptions for Painkillers

Jill Marie Lindorff, 44, of St. Paul, is charged with two counts of felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime after Apple Valley police allegedly found that she had forged prescriptions for 150 tablets of Oxycodone and 10 patches of Fentanyl, according to a criminal complaint.

The pharmacist to whom Lindorff gave the prescriptions told police he had filled a prescription for the same doctor for another patient, and that Lindorff's prescriptions looked forged, the complaint says; the doctor also said she didn't know Lindorff and hadn't signed any prescriptions on that day.

The maximum penalty for a count of felony fifth-degree controlled substance possession is five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The maximum penalty for petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia is a $300 fine.
