Apple Valley Police Arrest Woman Wanted on 'Sexting' Charges

A woman being sought on charges of using text messages to solicit a 14-year-old Apple Valley boy for sex last winter has been arrested by Apple Valley police.

for Jessica Ann Ybarra, 31, who was assumed to be living in Texas. Apple Valley police arrested her just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Ybarra, who formerly lived in St. Paul, is being held in the Dakota County Jail in Hastings on a $75,000 bond and was scheduled to make a first appearance on the charges on Wednesday.

Ybarra faces two felony charges of solicitation of a minor to engage in sexual conduct, each of which carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Police say Ybarra sent numerous sex-related text messages to the boy, some of which included photos of her genitals, along with sexually explicit letters and notes.
