Apple Valley Police Warn of Home Burglaries After 2 Incidents

Police say two homes located near each other in Apple Valley experienced break-ins.

The released information on Friday telling residents to be alert, after police recently responded to two break-ins at Apple Valley homes.

The release said that on Jan. 4 and 5, residents from two separate houses returned home after work to find their front doors kicked in and electronics stolen.

The homes were located in the 8700 block of 134th Street West and the 14300 block of Hickory Way, according to the release.

Police advised that residents be aware of people loitering in their neighborhoods, and to call 911 if they believe there is suspicious activity.

  • Lock your home's doors and ground-floor windows.
  • Don't leave items outside that criminals could use to gain entry into your home, such as tools.
  • Turn your outside lights on from dusk until dawn.
