Carrie Jean Olson, 42, pleaded guilty to a third-degree DWI.

An Apple Valley woman has been sentenced to a stint in the Hennepin County Workhouse for a DWI incident in the fall.

Carrie Jean Olson, 42, was arrested Sept. 16 after an officer with the Airport Police saw her speeding and weaving on Highway 77 near Diagonal Boulevard just before 2 a.m. When Olson provided a breath sample, her blood-alcohol content was shown to be .303 percent, more than three times the legal limit of .08 percent, according to the complaint.

She pleaded guilty to one charge Oct. 5. The second was dismissed. She was sentenced to 180 days in the workhouse, but the judge stayed all but seven days of the term for the duration of her three-year probationary period. She was also given credit for two days already served.
