MMA Fighter Brett Rogers Posts Bail, Released From Dakota County Jail

Rogers faces charges after he allegedly beat and strangled his wife.

Mixed Martial Arts fighter Brett Rogers has been released from Dakota County Jail after he posted bond on $100,000 bail, jail records show.

Rogers third-degree assault, domestic assault by strangulation, having a pattern of stalking conduct—all felonies—and one gross misdemeanor count of endangerment of a child, after police say he . His three children were in the home, as well.

Rogers is not allowed in the residence or to have contact with the alleged victims as conditions of release. An omnibus hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. July 25 in Dakota County District Court.

Rogers is an "EliteXC and Strikeforce veteran," according to his profile on mmafighting.com, and "is considered by many to be a Top 10 heavyweight fighter." His professional record from 2006 through 2009 was 10-0, the website says.

An article on mmafighting.com reports that Rogers' contract with Strikeforce Mixed Martial Arts has been terminated.
