Oakdale Woman Fatally Stabbed Was Apple Valley High School Alumna

Lori Christine Baker was a 1991 graduate of Apple Valley High School, according to classmates.

The Oakdale woman who in her apartment on Wednesday was a 1991 graduate of , classmates confirmed on Friday.

Lori Christine Baker, 39, failed to show up for her nannying job Wednesday, and was found by the Afton woman she worked for, who told the Pioneer Press that Baker had always been on time in her nine years working for the family.

Sarah Kohler, the community manager at Baker's apartment building in Oakdale, Baker was "a really great resident, a really quiet resident ... so it's a pretty big surprise."

Police on Thursday , Thomas James Fox, 44, of St. Paul, who allegedly was an acquaintence of Baker's. Charges had not yet been filed Friday afternoon.

A Memorial Mass of Resurrection is scheduled for Baker at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Church of St. Thomas Becket in Eagan.

People are invited to gather from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at the Joseph S. Klecatsky & Sons Funeral Home in Eagan, and again one hour prior to the Monday mass at the church.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
