Police: Rosemount Woman Stabs Boyfriend, Smashes Computer

Ashley Marie Leach did $1,200 of damage to a computer and her boyfriend's car, before stabbing the victim three times, police say.

After smashing his computer moniter and scratching his car, police say a 27-year-old Rosemount woman stabbed her boyfriend twice in the arm and once in the armpit.

Ashley Marie Leach faces one felony count of first-degree criminal damage to property and one felony count of domestic assault for her alleged role in the incident. If convicted on the domestic assault charge, Leach could face a maximum of 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.

ON March 16, Rosemount police received a call from Leach's boyfriend, who said he had been in an altercation with her at a residence on the 3200 block of 144th St. Police interviewed the man, who told officers that the couple had been arguing, and that Leach proceeded to smash a computer monitor worth $249.

The victim told officers he then tried to take his clothing and leave when Leach came up to the driver's side window of his truck and began deeply scratching the paint on his vehicle. The man then rolled down his window, at which point, Leach allegedly stabbed him twice with a knife in the forearm and once just below his armpit.

The total damage to the vehicle and the computer monitor was in excess of $1,200, according to police.
