(This story is by Mike Schoemer)

Police Clips, an online clearing house for police incidents in the Twin Cities area, is reporting a bull escaped from a pen or portion of the riding area at the Dakota County Fairgrounds and briefly ran through the grounds.

Several people were injured, including a woman who was transported by ambulance away from the scene.

Dakota County scanner chatter confirms there was an incident with injuries at the fairgrounds, which are located in Farmington, in southeast Dakota County.

Tonight's schedule at the fair included the Minnesota Bull Riders' Bulls and Barrels Event.

Patch will be following this developing story.

FOX9 News is reporting 11 people in all were injured

"The bull was apparently loose for about 15 minutes before it was lassoed and put back into a pen. Deputies reportedly shot at the bull twice. It is unclear whether the animal was struck and or whether it survived."
