UPDATED: One Killed, Three Injured in Accident on Hwy. 77

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 26-year-old Farmington resident was killed and three others injured.

At least one person was killed and two injured in a five-person rollover accident that shut down the northbound lanes of Cedar Avenue on Sunday night, according to Minnesota State Patrol officials.

Emergency responders closed Cedar Avenue at McAndrews Road/County Road 38 following the accident, which occurred shortly before 6 p.m., according to the State Patrol website.

State Patrol investigators say a GMC Savana van with two occupants was traveling southbound on Hwy. 77 when it veered, hit a metal guard rail and traveled into the northbound lanes of Hwy. 77, according to state patrol officials. At that point, the Savana struck a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling northbound. The Tahoe had three occupants at the time of the collision.
