Republican Anna Wills Declares Candidacy for Kurt Bills' House Seat

Wills, of Apple Valley, announced Thursday that she'll seek the Republican endorsement for the Minnesota House of Representatives seat in District 57B, which includes Rosemount and part of Apple Valley.

Apple Valley resident Anna Wills announced Thursday that she'll seek the Republican endorsement in state House District 57B, currently held by Republican Rep. Kurt Bills of Rosemount. .

Wills lives with her husband, Rob, and currently works in the Minnesota Senate as the legislative assistant to Sen. Michelle Benson (R-Ham Lake), according to a news release.

Prior to her work at the state Capitol, Wills worked private-sector customer service and in-home care services. She has been politically active for many years, volunteering on local, state and national campaigns, the release says.

"As a proud resident of Apple Valley, I know the tough issues that are facing our community and our state," Wills said in the release. "From my private sector work and political involvement, I’ve gained the relevant experience necessary to serve our district in the Minnesota House."

“Like Representative Bills, I am committed to getting Minnesota’s economy back on track through private-sector job growth and prudent fiscal management of our state budget," Wills said in the release.
