The Rosemount Youth Commission began work in 2010. Its mission statement says it is intended to give young people “a leadership opportunity, to participate in government, and to represent and articulate the needs of youth in Rosemount.”

Since its creation, the Commission has met with City officials and community members; advised the City Council on issues like pet licensing and social media; and planned and promoted the Youth Rally held during Leprechaun Days.
