City Moving Onward with Interested Senior Housing Developers
Requests for Quotations have been sent to 17 potential development partners
The City of Rosemount sent out 19 packets July 13 to 17 organizations who were considered likely candidates to partner with the city on a proposed senior living development in downtown Rosemount near the Steeple Center.
Notices of the solicitation also were sent to local and regional newspapers, according to Rosemount Director of Economic Development Kim Lindquist.
Last Wednesday the city held an information session for potential development partners. Lindquist confirmed that four people attended that meeting.

The city will review the responses as they arrive between now and the Aug. 18 deadline and Lindquist hopes that a partner will be selected sometime this fall.
The city's vision is for memory care, assisted living and a senior center to be included as part of the final development. While their preference is to also add to the tax-base, Lindquist said the City Council will consider all prospects, including not-for-profit entities. "Ultimately [the City Council] will have to weigh all the proposals and decide which criteria are the most important to determine the preferred development proposal for the site."
