Filing Closed: Who's Running to Represent Apple Valley, Rosemount in State Offices?

Apple Valley and Rosemount are in one Minnesota Senate district, and are split into two Minnesota House districts. Here's a look at who has filed to run for all the state seats.

The candidate filing period for state legislative races ended at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 according to the Minnesota Secretary of State's website. (Candidates can withdraw until 5 p.m. Thursday.)

Both cities, along with a small portion of Lakeville and the town of Coates, are located in Senate District 57 after state redistricting . About half of Apple Valley and the chunk of Lakeville are in House District 57A; the other half of Apple Valley and all of Rosemount and Coates are in House District 57B—Republican Kurt Bills' former District 37B, which he'll forego .
