I was born and raised in New Ulm, MN. I am a 28 year resident of Rosemount. Consequently I am a life long MN resident. Married 34 years we raised 3 children who all attended and graduated from District 196 schools. They all received excellent educations. Having spent the last 20 years largely self employed I know all too well the direct effect of taxation. No one is less represented in the legislature or the tax code than the self employed. I have cast many a vote for Republican candidates in the past, Dennis Ozment and Arne Carlson for example.
