Road, Lane Closures Continue Along Cedar in Apple Valley

Access to some side roads and shopping entrances along Cedar Avenue will be restricted this week.

New road and lane closures slated for Cedar Avenue in Apple Valley this week are:

  • closure of the entrance to the White Castle restaurant directly off Cedar, which will be closed Monday through Wednesday.
  • closure of 155th Street east of Cedar, tentatively scheduled for Monday through Friday if weather permits.

Existing road and lane closures that will continue are:

  • closure of 157th Street east of Cedar Avenue, which has been extended through Monday (Aug. 1).
  • closure of sidewalks along both sides of Cedar from 147th to 157th streets. These began July 25.
  • closure of northbound and southbound lanes of Cedar between 147th Street in Apple Valley and Dodd Boulevard.

  • a new traffic signal at 164th Street/Griffon Trail that will be flashing as a stop sign from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday.
  • a traffic signal being permanently removed from the intersection of Cedar and 162nd Street. Traffic on Cedar will not have to stop. Those coming on to Cedar from 162nd will have a stop sign and will only be able to turn right, but Cedar traffic will be able to turn left or right onto 162nd.
  • closure of Cedar Avenue from 160th Street to 164th Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday for sewer work.
