Road Work Along Cedar Avenue: Aug. 15-20

Buses will not stop at the Apple Valley Transit Stations at 155th Street West and Cedar starting Monday, so crews can do utility work near the stations. Buses will instead go to the old transit station, nearby on Gaslight Lane.

New road work slated for Cedar Avenue in Apple Valley this week:

  • The northbound and southbound Apple Valley transit stations at 155th Street West and Cedar will close for surrounding utility work. Buses will pick up and drop off at the old transit station on Gaslight Lane during this time. Riders still are advised to park in the ramp near the newer stations and walk to the old station. The stations closure is slated to continue through October.
  • The right-in, right-out entrance and exit into the Time Square shopping center, along southbound Cedar, is scheduled to be closed Monday and Tuesday.
  • The entrance to the Southport shopping center and Target store off northbound Cedar is slated to be closed Wednesday through Friday.
  • Cedar Avenue between 157th Street West and 155th Street West/Whitney Drive is scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday for storm sewer work. Whitney Drive west of Cedar Avenue also is slated to close during these hours.

Existing road and lane closures that will continue are:

  • closure of sidewalks along both sides of Cedar from 147th to 157th streets. These began July 25.
  • closure of northbound and southbound lanes of Cedar between 147th Street in Apple Valley and Dodd Boulevard.
