Sen. Amy Klobuchar's Visit to Apple Valley Will Focus on STEM Fields

Klobuchar will tour Uponor and visit Cedar Park Elementary, a science, math, engineering and technology school.

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) is scheduled to spend Wednesday morning in Apple Valley, making a few visits and taking meetings focused on science, technology, engineering and math resources in the community, according to a press release.

Klobuchar is scheduled to tour and meet with employees and leadership, and will also have a discussion with Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce members.

She'll then visit a class at , and will have a meeting with Apple Valley Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland, District 196 Superintendent Jane Berenz and Cedar Park Principal John Garcia to talk more about STEM in schools and the community, according to the agenda.

Apple Valley’s 2030 comprehensive plan says the STEM fields are "integral" to the community's economic development, the release says.
