The $60,000 cast bronze and stone sculpture, commissioned by the city, was installed last December but officially unveiled at a ceremony attended by Rosemount Mayor Bill Droste, other city officials and the artist himself.

Droste spoke briefly, his words occasionally obscured by noisy freight trains moving through the city. The mayor quipped that the City Council plans to pass an ordinance forbidding trains from blowing their whistles within Rosemount’s city limits.
