Weekly Update: Planning Commission Tables Development Discussion

Here is the latest weekly update from the City of Rosemount.

Discussion about a proposed nine-lot commercial development near the intersection of County Road 42 and Highway 3 has been tabled by the Rosemount Planning Commission.

The 26.5-acre development—which would include a Super America gas station/convenience store and a Country Inn and Suites hotel—would sit at the northeast corner of the intersection. The lots would range in size from just under an acre to 14.9 acres.

According to city documents—including the city’s weekly update—one person discussed potential traffic concerns during a public hearing about the project at the Sept. 25 Planning Commission meeting. Commissioners talked about the development at length, then voted to table the issue until the commission's Oct. 23 meeting.

Project developer KJ Walk Inc. seeking approval of a preliminary plat for the commercial lots, rezoning and a conditional use permit for a non-service gas station with a canopy and car wash.
