Weekly Update: Rosemount Residents Turn Out at Polls in Droves

Here is the latest weekly update from the City of Rosemount.

Rosemount residents went to the polls in droves last week.

City election officials say 84 percent of Rosemount’s registered voters—12,847 in all—turned in ballots for the Nov. 6 general election.

Looking inside those numbers, nearly 11 percent of the voters filled out their ballots in advance. And, 16 percent registered to vote on Nov. 6.

Among the offices city residents voted for was City Council. Winning council seats were Vanessa Olson Demuth and Jeff Weisensel.

The City Council will certify the vote at its Nov. 14 meeting.
