Apple Valley, Eastview Rack Up 16 Award Noms for Student TV Programs

The 2012 Upper Midwest Regional Student Television Awards for Excellence will be announced at an April 1 ceremony.

The student television programs at and high schools have racked up 16 nominations in the Upper Midwest Regional Student Television Awards for Excellence this year, according to the Midwest Emmys organization.

Eastview tallied nine nominations, while Apple Valley had seven. The nominations/nominees for the two schools are:

Last year, the two schools won a combined 11 awards.

Apple Valley won for best newscast, arts and entertainment, sports and community/public service announcement. Eastview won for public affairs/community service, writing and editing.

Apple Valley and Eastview both were awarded in the general-assignment news story category.
