Apple Valley High School Athletes Kick Off 'Get Up Get Movin' ' at Echo Park Elementary
Sixty Eagles athletes—as well as the high school's mascot—were at the Burnsville elementary school on Tuesday to help motivate students to be active.
About 60 student-athletes—as well as the school's mascot—were on hand Tuesday at Echo Park Elementary School in Burnsville to help launch the school's "Get Up Get Movin' " campaign, to encourage students to engage in physical activity.
The Echo Park PTO is sponsoring the program, which challenges students to exercise each day for the next 10 days and to get sponsors for doing so, according to a brief on thisweeklive.com.
The PTO's goals are to raise $18,000 through the exercise campaign, and to get kids accustomed to exercising year-round.
