District 196 Board to Recognize Apple Valley Speech, Track Champions

The board also will look at changing the attendance area for 40 homes in Eagan, from Black Hawk Middle School in Eagan to Falcon Ridge Middle School in Apple Valley.

The Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district board is set to recognize several Apple Valley High School students at its Monday meeting—National Forensic League Speech and Debate champion  Nader Helmy, who took the top spot in the original oratory competition in Dallas in June, and the girls and boys track 4 x 100 meter relay teams, including Taylor Browning, Megan Maki, Jaryn Pipkins, Jordan Sammons and Chanel Miller, and Jordan Crockett, Quinn Hooks, Steven Wilson, Jalen Steward and Herschel Brazell.

The board also will look at changing the attendance area for 40 homes in Eagan, from Black Hawk Middle School in Eagan to Falcon Ridge Middle School in Apple Valley. This would affect three students for the coming school year, who already will attend Falcon Ridge due to requesting an in-district transfer, according to a memo to the board.
