ExCEL Award Nominees Announced for Eastview, Apple Valley High Schools
The award recognizes high school juniors in Minnesota for their activeness in school groups, and for their leadership and citizenship.
Two students and two students have been nominated for the Minnesota State High School League ExCEL Award.
Apple Valley High School juniors , and Eastview High School juniors each were nominated.
ExCEL, which stands for Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership, is a state program in its 16th year that recognizes high school juniors in Minnesota for their activeness in school groups, and for their leadership and citizenship.

An independent panel of judges from schools throughout Minnesota will select the state's ExCEL Award recipients in January. ExCEL winners will be announced on the MSHSL website on Feb. 1, and recognized on KSTC-TV (Channel 45) during winter state athletics tournaments.
