Eastview High Band Plays Host to Marching Festival on Saturday

Seventeen bands from Minnesota and surrounding states will compete in the event. In addition, Eastview will perform an exhibition.

The marching band will play host to its annual Eastview Marching Festival on Saturday.

Seventeen bands in three classes are scheduled to compete. The marching band is one of six Class AAA bands to appear. 

In addition, the host Eastview band will perform an exhibition.

Here is a schedule of events and performances:
• 4:55 p.m.—Introductions and national anthem
• 5:00—Hastings, Class A
• 5:15—Andover, Class A
• 5:30—Winona Cotter, Class A
• 5:45—Minnetonka, Class A
• 6:00—Champlin Park, Class AA
• 6:15—Dowling Catholic, Class AA
• 6:30—Anoka, Class AA
• 6:45—River Falls, Class AA
• 7:00—Waseca, Class AA
• 7:15—Rochester Lourdes, Class AA
• 7:30—Grand Rapids, Class AA
• 7:50—Awards ceremony for Class A and Class AA
• 8:15—Waterloo West, Class AAA
• 8:30—Cumberland, Class AAA
• 8:45—Marshall, Class AAA
• 9:00—Eden Prairie, Class AAA
• 9:15—Irondale, Class AAA
• 9:30—Rosemount, Class AAA
• 9:45—Eastview, Ex
• 10:05—Awards ceremony for Class AAA

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for seniors and students with a student ID. The concession stand will open at 4 p.m.

A number of bands, including Eastview and Rosemount, will be pulling double duty on Saturday, as they will take part in the Prairie Colors Festival at Eden Prairie High School in the morning and early afternoon before heading to Eastview.


Rosemount will play host to the 23rd annual Rosemount High School Marching Band Festival on Saturday, Sept. 15. Eastview is scheduled to take part in that event.
