Video: Diamond Path Elementary Dedicates Japanese Garden

The dedication ceremony held Wednesday for the Japanese garden and outdoor classroom and orchard featured a song, Haiku poems and students adorning trees with paper cranes.

on Wednesday held a dedication ceremony for its newly constructed Japanese garden and outdoor classroom and orchard.

Gayle Fleming, owner and president of Fleming Landscape, who designed the Japanese garden and helped with its construction, told students a little about Japanese gardens. Students sang a Japanese song, read their original Haiku poems and placed hand-made paper cranes on trees in the garden and orchard as part of the ceremony.
