Apple Valley Boys Lacrosse Coach Resigns

Four-year coach Ben Uzlik has taken a new job with the Minnesota State Patrol that will no longer allow him time to coach.

boys lacrosse head coach Ben Uzlik has resigned from his position, the school announced on Tuesday.

Uzlik coached the Eagles boys lacrosse team for the past four years, according to a news release. He has taken a job with the Minnesota State Patrol that won't allow him time for coaching duties, the release says.

The Apple Valley boys lacrosse team went 9-4 overall and 5-4 in the South Suburban Conference during last spring's season. The team lost to Burnsville in the state quarterfinals.

Those interested in the head coach position can submit a resume to Apple Valley High School Athletic Director Pete Buesguens until Dec. 21.
