Apple Valley, Eastview Boys Swim Teams Wrap Up Season At State

The 2010-11 boys swimming and diving season came to a close Saturday at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center, where Apple Valley and Eastview placing 13th and 24th in the Class AA state championship meet.

Individually, Eagles senior Nathan France finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.41 seconds, then took seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1 minute, .63 seconds. Eastview junior Ryan Thompson took fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 59.24.

The Apple Valley 200-yard freestyle relay team of France, fellow seniors Nate Reagles and Chris Smith, as well as sophomore Andrew France placed fourth with an All-American Consideration time of 1:26.24.

The Eagles amassed a total score of 62.5 points, with the Lightning accumulating 22 points on the evening.
